Dairy goat farmer HIS STORYIn 2013, we sold our dairy farm in Costa Rica and decided to go back to our ancestors’ land with our children and grandchildren. We hoped to produce milk again with the best possible technology. We found out about COVAP and realized it was the opportunity we had been looking and waiting for.
HIS WORDSSuccess
All our lives we’ve believed that working together makes us stronger. With COVAP, we’ve found everything we’ve been looking for. We feel very proud to have the opportunity to belong to the Cooperative. It gives us stability and confidence, providing everything we need to develop our business.

Dairy goat farmer HIS STORYI do not come from a farming family. It was my husband, Juan, who first suggested that we start an Assaf dairy sheep farm in 2002. Years later, we switched to dairy goat farming. Now, I have all the knowledge I need to manage this type of company; a family business where everyone, including my husband and our two sons, works together to overcome challenges on a daily basis.
HIS WORDSAccessibility.
COVAP is a great support for us. In the more than 20 years we have worked with them, we have always relied on their help.

Dairy goat farmer HER STORYSince I was a child, I have accompanied my father, who has always managed the business with the support of the Cooperative. Eight years ago I took over, for me this profession is very vocational. In my case, I combined it with working as an employee until I took over the management of the livestock farm.
HER WORDSFor me, COVAP means continuous improvement. Like the Cooperative, I seek to improve in all aspects: health, feeding, management and genetics, tackling everything that determines better results.
I want to continue to increase production per goat, invest in facilities and size my business, my idea is to double the current number of animals. To do this, incorporating technology will be fundamental and I know that I can count on the advice of the Cooperative, which has experts in all areas.
