HIS STORY

My family has always worked in livestock farming, raising beef cattle and Ibérico pigs. My father died when I was 17 and I took over the family farm, relying on the help of my family. Nowadays, we still run the farm as a family business, and my wife and I have worked together to scale it up. We have put a lot of work and effort into our farm, and COVAP plays a very important role in it.

HIS WORDS

Guaranteed continuity. Recently, one of my three sons, Antonio José, joined us as a farmer. He has been able to rely on my experience and support, as well as the backing of a strong project like COVAP.

In July 2012 when my parents retired, my husband Miguel Ángel, who came from another world, and I embarked on this project. Society is changing a lot, and COVAP helps us to be more competitive. It supports us in the modernization of farms, it offers farmers training (which is very important), it defends small-scale farmers and it champions the role of rural women. COVAP’s Technical Services provide us with advice. They are strict, but they need to be.

HIS STORY

My father, and my grandfathers, have always worked in livestock farming. By the age of 15, I was already going with my father when he worked in the fields, learning from him. Now, I have my own cattle farm. I also have Ibérico pigs and sheep, which are raised in our Dehesa. Ever since I started farming, COVAP has been by my side, supplying me with feed and selling my products.

HIS WORDS

COVAP understands our reality, and I appreciate its accessibility.

Vaca de carne con la puesta de sol
For me, COVAP is a major Cooperative that works alongside its farmers. Being part of something like that helps enhance the Valle de Los Pedroches, and the different farming regions in the area.
