Ibérico pig farmer
HIS STORY

My family has always worked with COVAP; all my earliest memories involve this Cooperative. When it was my turn, I decided to remain a member, due to the peace of mind and service it provides.

HIS WORDS

Security and Progress. For me, COVAP is guaranteed stability.

Cerdos pastando
As part of COVAP, I know that my work is valued. They ensure that the product I have been working on is good quality, and that it arrives at its final destination. And they don’t just take care of products; they look after the people who are involved in creating them too.

HIS STORY

Our relationship with the Cooperative started with my grandfather, Pedro. He was one of the first members, then my father followed him. Then, I carried on the tradition of belonging to COVAP when the chance to take over the business came up, and now I’ve been managing it with my husband since 2014. And I’ve passed on my love for our region and for our livestock-farming tradition to my children, as they are the generation I hope will take over from me.

HIS WORDS

Security.

Cerdos pastando
For me, COVAP is a brand that works to develop, promote and enrich our area, Valle de Los Pedroches: a region that really needs this as, historically, it’s been quite poorly treated economically and socially. Another reason is being part of a project that prioritizes a unique, wonderful breed of pig: the 100% Ibérico. Then there are the people behind the Cooperative, who are always ready to help farmers, advise them and think about everything that concerns us.

HIS STORY

I have always been a livestock farmer because I like this type of work, and because my family has always worked in farming. 20 years ago, I decided to become a member of COVAP.

HIS WORDS

COVAP is the face of livestock farming in our land. As an organization, it offers the services farmers need, and it provides economic balance in this primary sector. It represents stability.

Cerdos pastando
For me, it means having representation in the extensive livestock farming sector, being able to access lots of services that are necessary for farm management (provision of raw materials, animal collection, training, among other things), and having continuity in my farming work.
