MSSSI CTC pork and Iberian pork audits passed successfully
The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality has approved COVAP’s CTC pork and Iberian products, with very favorable results.
On March 2 and 3, the MSSSI audits for both COVAP's CTC pork line and Iberian products took place, in compliance with US export protocol. Juan Manuel Troncoso (Head of Serivces at the Subdirectorate General of Foreign Health of the Ministry of Health) was responsible for supervision.
The results in both centers have been favorable regarding the state of the facilities and operational work and have also highlighted the good document management of the quality control system. The visit also provided an opportunity to provide information about the changes made in the facilities, such as the new deboning - pressing room, the standardization of the natural curing houses for the US market, as well as future changes in facilities and certain new products, with the aim of constantly adapting to international market demands.
