COVAP's territorial presence
The livestock cooperative Cooperativa Ganadera del Valle de Los Pedroches (COVAP) has farms throughout a unique territory: The Dehesa. Considered to be one of the biggest holm oak forests in the world, with a surface area close on 300,000 hectares, these pasturelands are one of the largest and most densely-wooded natural habitats in the Iberian peninsula. This privileged landscape provides perfect conditions for raising our animals, particularly the Ibérico pig. The special micro-climate, which leaves the mark of its character and taste on all of the area’s products, makes this land a genuine natural treasure.
