We are producers and we have specialized operations in the production of dairy, Ibérico products, meat, and animal feed products, which we use to successfully face the challenges of internationalization and marketing.
Animal Feed Industry
At COVAP, we feed our livestock with local and domestically sourced raw materials (65% of supply), focusing on safety, quality, and service. We market more than 632 million kilograms of animal feed per year, of which over 291 million are total mixed rations (dairy cattle 72%; small ruminants 28%), over 205 million correspond to compound feed (pigs 24%; beef cattle 28%; dairy cattle 16.9%; meat sheep 27.2%), and 136 million to raw materials.
Our factory
To do this, we have a pellet factory covering 14,000 m2 and an area dedicated to the manufacturing of Unifeed portions covering more than 30,000 m2, with the latest self-driven trolley technology. Our static plant, the world's largest, is fully automated, which means that the dosing, mixing, and production time are all improved.
Integrated model
We are one of the few companies in the world that integrates raw material production with farmers, livestock feeding through its own production plants, product processing, and marketing under the cooperative model.
We are innovators
We provide farmers with a line of animal feed that is committed to the environment, both in terms of farming emissions and carbon footprint. We incorporate the latest technology in terms of ingredients, formula, and handling, working continuously on sustainable products at our testing center in order to give our members and customers added value.
The result
We have more than 100 professionals in our teams of Technical Services, Nutrition, Grant Management, and Insurance who work day in, day out to help our farmers. Under this model, we market the production of more than 1,000 farmers, of which around 300 work with dairy cows. Proof of the quality of our feed system is the productive yield of our own farms, where we produce over a million liters of cow's milk each day, with the highest yield per cow in Europe, of around 40 l/cow per day. In the production of goat's milk, our farms are also at the forefront of the official milk production control levels.
